SUNCOTEX MATT is a sand textured wall finish that can last for years retaining its protective property. It is a long lasting, reliable, durable and protective exterior coating that can withstand any kind of climatic extremes and atmospheric pollution.
When conventional paints are applied, hair line cracks are likely to develop after sometime and the paint peels off and cracks widen. The flexible and adhesive properties of the special polymer used in SUNCOTEX MATT, however helps bridge the cracks as it moves with the changing temperature. It adheres well to any surface that it is applied and provides a thick, tough, weather resistant, light fast durable coating, to solve any exterior problem.

Formulation:

SUNCOTEX MATT
has a unique formulation - a blend of finest aggregates, a special thermoplastic resin with better flexibility nd adhesive properties, selected pigments, high percentage of Titanium Dioxide and other constituents that provide a thick, tough, weather resistant, light fast and durable coating to solve any exterior decorative problem.

Mixing Instructions:

SUNCOTEX MATT
is a ready to use paint. Stir vigorously the contents in the container before use. Dilution of the paint is normally not required. Upto 500 ml of clean water to 4 lit. of SUNCOTEX MATT may be added when the backing is absorbent or during hot weather.

Application :

SUNCOTEX MATT may be applied by brush or roller. A 10 cm (4") broad, good quality paint brush is recommended for SUNCOTEX MATT work. Soak the brush in water before use. Keep the brush well loaded with SUNCOTEX MATT and spread it evenly on the surface. Maintain a flowing edge. The brush and the equipments should be cleaned with water immediately after use.

Unique Properties:

When conventional paints are applied, hair cracks are likely to develop after sometime and the paint peels ott and the cracks widen. The flexible and adhesive properties of the special polymer used in SUNCOTEX MATT, however, help bridge the cracks as it moves with the changing temperatures.

Covering Capacity:

Covering Capacity of SUNCOTEX MATT depends on the porosity and texture of the surface.

On smooth, non-absorbent surface coverage will be approximately 6.5 sq.mt. per litre for single coat and approximately 3.3 sq.mts. per litre for 2 coats.

Coverage wiil be reduced on rough surfaces where it is suggested for the sake of economy and ease of application that one coat of Suncem Cement Paint be applied as a primer coat followed by one coat of SUNCOTEX MATT.

SUNCOTEX MATT should not be applied in rain and frost.

Adherence to Any Surface:

SUNCOTEX MATT
is ideal for all surfaces: - cement sand renderings, cement lime sand rendering, roughcast, pebble dash, concrete, insulating board, concrete bricks and blocks, light weight concrete, asbestos cement sheets, shack and fencing bricks, asphalted or bituminous surfaces, etc. On surfaces such as ferrous metals, brass, copper and phosphor bronze, a protective coating of a suitable bituminous compound or chromated red oxide should be given. New wood should be treated with a leafing grade aluminium primer or water based acrylic emulsion primer.

Solution for Algal growth and chalky or friable surfaces:

Before applying SUNCOTEX MATT, algal growth if any should be completely removed by using an effective Bleach (Calcium Hypochlorite containing approximately 35% chlorine in the ratio of 2 kg. to 50 litres of water), which destroys the unseen spores. Clean down thoroughly with water and remove the algal growth as much as possible and apply bleach. Brush well in, leave for 24 hours, wash down and allow to dry.

Use of Sunsol Stabilising Solution:

For chalky or friable surfaces use SUNSOL STABILISING SOLUTION before applying. Where the surface is chalky or friable, the loose material must be removed by stiff brushing . and scraping. The surface, however, will still be dusty and the paint will be difficult to apply smoothly and probably will not stay on as long as it ought to. The answer is to treat the surface with SUNSOL STABILISING SOLUTION, a solvent based material with great penetration properties. The friable surface will become rock hard and ready in not less than 12 hours later for the smooth and easy application of SUNCOTEX MATT The treated surface should not be left unpainted for more than 2 days.

Clean SUNSOL STABILISING SOLUTION brushes immediately after use with white spirit or mineral turpentine.

Never use gypsum based materials for filling exterior cracks. SUNSOL STABILISING SOLUTION cannot be applied over bitumen. SUNSOL STABILISING SOLUTION is available in 30 lit. drum and 5 lit. tin. It's covering capacity on smooth surface is 5.5 to 6.4 sq.mt. per litre which can be reduced on rough and textured surfaces.

Available in over 36 beautiful shades in plastic pails of 20Ltrs, 4Ltrs, 1Ltr. and 0.500Ltr.
